One of the many views of our modern under-graduate student dorm-room style housing. Mostly painted white, they provide pleasant surroundings for our students to rest and study in comfort. All of the dorms, sprinkled around the campus like little boxes made of ticky-tacky, are wired-up with incandescent lighting, high speed internet access, running water and inside toilets that even flush with a pull of a chain.

Graduation Day 1984

A historic photo of President Fidel Castro of Cuba (Awarded the South Hackney Institute of Technology Honorary Baseball Doctorate 1964) addresses the South Hackney Institute of Technology’s Graduating Class of 1984 with a passionate five and one half hour speech proclaiming a “Victory of World Socialsim through Model Railroading”, and exciting news of the forthcoming Cuban sugar cane harvest. Students later cheered for forty five minutes after President Castro sang a rendition of the classic song “Barnacle Bill the Sailor”, at the student / alumni dance and barbeque.
